Herba Epimedii
Herb of Epimedium, often known as Horny goat weed has been used in Chinese medicine, dating back to 400 A.D. when it was used as a tonic to relieve fatigue and aid the reproductive system .
Today it is also used to reinforce the kidney, strengthen tendons and bones and relieve rheumatic conditions.
It has been said that it was given the name “Horny goat weed” after an ancient Chinese goat herder found that his flock became sexually active after eating in a certain patch of weeds, on further investigation of this weed patch and a little leaf chewing resulted in the discovery of Horny Goat Weed.
